Ajna Films is a production company founded in 2000 by Alysa Nahmias. The director-producer and her team have been lauded for telling stories that weave the personal with the collective, and for a taking a balanced perspective on delicate subject matter.

In 2011, Nahmias and co-director Benjamin Murray won an Independent Spirit Award for the Ajna Films feature documentary, Unfinished Spaces, a fascinating tale of Cuba's architecture of Revolution. The film garnered numerous film festival prizes and was broadcast worldwide, including on PBS in North America and HBO in Latin America. Unfinished Spaces was an official selection of Sundance Film Forward, a program to reach under-served audiences around the world and to promote cultural dialogue.

Nahmias' producing credits also include Afternoon of a Faun: Tanaquil Le Clercq (2013, Director-Producer Nancy Buirski, Creative Advisor Martin Scorsese), which premiered at the 2013 New York Film Festival; and Shield and Spear (2014, Director Petter Ringbom).

Nahmias has been featured in Filmmaker Magazine as an innovator in the new landscape of documentary distribution. She has won awards from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, and the Arnold W. Brunner Award from the American Institute of Architects. Ajna Films is based in Los Angeles and New York.
